How does it work?

To identify the gap between an employee’s performance and potential, the GAP Index assessment gathers responses to 66 questions to identify an employee’s passions, both at work and in life. Then, we calibrate the results based on expectations of the employee’s supervisor to help our clients:

Uncover and leverage latent talents and passions
Craft individualized and holistic growth plans
Maximize engagement and voluntary participation

What are we measuring?

Passion can be broken down and measured by evaluating three categories: Employees’ level of commitment, contentment and capability. Within each of these three main categories, we’ve identified 5 distinct attributes that allow us to quantify the GAP.

Each GAP Report outlines a score related to prevalence of all 15 attributes in an employee’s work, life and role expectations. By layering and comparing the scores in each area, we demonstrate the gaps and outline two key indices:

The Potential Index measures the gap between actual performance at work and potential performance based on how an employee operates in life.
The Role Index measures the gap between actual performance at work and supervisor expectations of the role.
